We are a small Cafe and Bike shop in scenic Bellingham, Washington. On the cafe side we serve espresso, draft beer, and sandwiches. The bike shop features a certified bike mechanic and a small selection of accessories chosen to keep you rolling.

Our cafe features Espresso from Ristretto Roasters in Portland. We use their Cowboy Blend because we think it tastes great on its own, as an Americano, and pairs perfectly with milk.
We have three taps for draft beer and one for draft cider, and we always have plenty of Rainier tall boys on hand.
Our sandwiches are named after famous climbs from bike racing and are inspired by picnic food that we took with us on bike tours in France and Italy.
RACING!
We love bike racing! We follow everything from Cyclocross, Spring Classics, and all three Grand Tours. The good news is that we have a projector screen and access to a huge number of the big European races. Check out our Event Calendar, and sign up for our email newsletter, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for our current schedule.
We also have a small one-person bike repair shop on site. We specialize in touring, commuting, transport and adventure bikes. Our shop rate is $60 an hour, and many times we can accomplish your small repair like a shift or brake adjustment while you wait and enjoy a latte or beer.

Coffee and cycling have a long and storied history together in Italy, almost as long as that between cycling and beer in Belgium. At Cafe Velo you won't need to choose which beverage to consume before or after your ride. You can begin your journey with an espresso, and if your journey happens to end up with us, we will have excellent beer available for you on our large Patio.
Here at Cafe Velo, we love touring, transport, commuting and adventure bikes. We have years of experience working on and riding bikes designed for beautiful, reliable and practical transportation. We can spruce up your old road bike with a set of fenders, a rack and upright handlebars to make it comfortable and practical for city riding. We can tune up your hybrid to give it a whole new lease on life and make riding fun again. Or we can help you pick out every part from scratch for your brand new touring and adventure bike. We have the skill, experience and partners to help make riding an enjoyable and seamless part of your day.
